Instruction

  • Battery Required: Yes
  • Batteries Included?: Yes
  • Use Instructions: CHARGING CLIPPERThe 4.5V 1.2A AC adapter is only intended for use with Andis Model LCL/LCL-2 lithium-ion clipper. Remove the clipper and AC adapter from the carton. Plug the AC adapter into a 100-120V, 50-60 cycle AC outlet, or as noted on the unit. Plug the adapter cord directly into the receptacle on the bottom of the clipper. The clipper ON/OFF switch must be in the OFF position for the battery to charge. The green light on the clipper will turn ON when the clipper is charging. When clipper is fully charged, the green light will turn OFF. The clipper has not been charged at the factory. Please charge the clipper for 3-5 hours before FIRST use for maximum performance. When battery is fully charged, clipper can be used for up to 2 hours of continuous run time. After first use, clipper will fully charge in aminimum of 90 minutes.FAILURE TO CHARGE1. Make sure voltage is present at the wall outlet (confirm with an appliance you know is working)2. Make sure ON/OFF switch on the clipper is OFF3. Check to make sure adapter cord is plugged firmly into clipper4. If failure to charge still exists, return clipper to Andis or an Andis authorized service station for examination and repair or replacementCORDED OPERATIONIf the clipper powers OFF in the middle of a clipping job, the adapter cord can be attached to continue use in corded operation. When the clipper is running with the adapter cord attached, the green light will remain ON if the battery is not fully charged. The clipper will not charge while in use with the cord attached. After using your Andis clipper, rewrap cord loosely and store in a safe place.USING THE ATTACHMENT COMBS(Some models do not have combs and sizes will vary by kit)You can set the blades for a longer cut by using any of the attachment combs made for your Andis clipper. The combs mount easily; simply slide the cutter blade teeth into comb and slide the comb down. To remove, simply slide off. These attachment combs guide hair into the blades and give you precise control of hairlengths. The length of trim is indicated on the attachment comb. Different blade angles in relation to the skin, thickness and texture of the hair will vary the cutting length.CLIPPER BLADE ADJUSTMENTYour Andis adjustable clipper blade set is easy to adjust. From coarse to fine cuts, all that is needed is an easy change of the adjustment lever with your thumb. Lines on the clipper indicate the five cutting positions. For the shortest cut, use your thumb to align the lever with the shortest line on the clipper housing. To cut the least amount of hair, align the lever with the longest line on the clipper housing.
  • Care and Cleaning Instructions: Blades should be oiled before, during, and after each use. If your clipper blades leave streaks or slow down, it’s a sure sign blades need oil. Place a few drops of oil on the front and side of the cutter blades (Diagram F). Wipe excess oil off blades with a soft, dry cloth. Spray lubricants contain insufficient oil for good lubrication, but are an excellent clipper blade coolant. Always replace broken or nicked blades to prevent injury. You can clean the excess hair from your blades by using a small brush or worn out toothbrush. To clean the blades, we suggest to immerse the blades only into a shallow pan of Andis Clipper Oil, while the clipper is running. Any excess hair and dirt that has accumulated between the blades should come out. After cleaning, turn your clipper off and dry blades with a clean dry cloth and start clipping again. If upon cleaning your blades you find that the blades will still not cut, there may be a few fine pieces of hair trapped between the upper and lower blade. If this happens, you will need to snap the blade off the clipper. Proceed to slide the upper blade to one side, without loosening the tension spring or moving the upper blade completely out from under the tension spring. Wipe the surface between the blades clean with a dry cloth, then place a drop of clipper oil where the upper and lower blades meet and also in the guide slot of the tension spring. Now slide the upper blade to the opposite side of the lower blade and repeat this process. After completing this procedure, slide the upper blade, centering it over the lower blade. Handle or store your Andis clipper with the blades down so excess oil will not run into the clipper case.
