AQUATOP UVFK Series UV Pumps with fountain kits are a perfect and versatile method to eradicate and control free-floating micro-organisms that cause the unsightly green water as well as disease causing pathogens in both your fresh & saltwater aquariums. The versatility of these fully submersible UV Pumps also allow for applications in your outdoor garden ponds. Unlike conventional UV Sterilizers which need the addition of a pump and extra plumbing, the UVFK-9 has a built in pump and ready to use without the hassle of extra plumbing. 9 watt UV Lamp, suitable to sterilize capacities up to 1,585 gallons.

Instruction

  • Use Instructions: Pond and Water Garden Use:Note: do not operate this unit unless it is fully submerged in water. Failure to do so will damage the unit. 1. Identify a location where the unit will not receive direct sunlight.2. Select a location where debris will not clog up the unit or impede water flow through the unit.3. Set or mount the unit in desired location.4. If desired, please attach the included fountain kit and select the appropriate fountain head to suit your and your fishy needs.Aquarium Use:1. Identify the location you wish to house the unit and attach directly onto aquarium wall or sump box wall with included suction cups. 2. Attach the adjustable aquarium nozzle for returning water to the aquarium or sump box. Note: Aquatop does not recommend using the fountain kit when applying the unit for aquarium use.Maintenance: Note: always disconnect power to unit before performing any maintenance or bulb replacement. 1. Rinse or replace pre-filter when clogged with debris.2. Rinse and clean rear filter basket cover, filter basket and front filter basket when pre-filter is maintained.3. Rinse and clean rubber bearings (#1 & #2), impeller shaft, impeller, and impeller cover when unit is being maintained.Bulb Replacement:Note: always disconnect power to unit before performing any maintenance or bulb replacement. 1. Rinse or replace pre-filter when clogged with debris.2. Rinse and clean rear filter basket cover, filter basket and front filter basket when pre-filter is maintained.3. Safety

  • Caution: It is your sole responsibility to verify that the plug and the receptacle are clean and free of moisture and salt build up at all times. The receptacle must be free of water, salt, calcium, magnesium and dust failure to do so can cause fire, damage to property, and permanent damage to the product and personal injury not limited to loss of life. 1) Read and follow all instructions.2) A drip loop must be used with all electrical aquarium devices. A drip loop is a self-made part of the cord hanging below the receptacle.3) A GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) should be used in the branch circuit supplying all power to water pumps and electrical aquarium equipment. If you do not have a GFCI, we strongly recommend having a qualified electrician install one prior to operating any aquarium component.4) Do not plug into extension cord/power strip.5) Use this product for its intended use only.6) Never yank or pull the cord from the electrical outlet.7) Do not operate if the plug or wire is damaged.8) Do not operate without water.9) Verify that hands are dry prior to disconnecting the power.10) To reduce the risks of electrocution, keep all connections dry.11) For indoor use only.12) If the product falls into water, do not reach for it first, unplug the unit. Then retrieve the unit from the water. If any of the electrical components get wet, unplug immediately.13) Do not use soaps or detergents when cleaning this device. Thoroughly clean and rinse with warm water and make sure the device is completely dry before connecting.14) Do not disassemble the U.V. lamp while connected to power or turned on.15) Do not look directly into the U.V. lamp when plugged in, since UV light may damage your eyesight. Always keep cover on when UV light is in use.16) Keep this product away from children.
