  • Use Instructions: 1. Lift the door lock with one hand.2. Push and hold the doors open with the other hand.3. Release the door lock.4. With free hand, reach inside trap and pull the trigger rod forward until the hook engages the wire of the door. Hold trigger rod in place until after you release the door.5. In the set position, the back of the pan should not be higher than one inch off the bottom of the trap. Adjust this level by bending the trigger hook forward or back.Tips: For a smaller animals, use a light trigger release setting. Place just tip of the trigger rod under the door cross rod.For larger animals, use a heavier trigger release setting. Push the end of the trigger rod completely under the door cross rod.Note: If you have difficulty setting your Havahart cage trap, the Trigger Rod may be hung up on the trap door. To correct this problem, simply pull the long trigger rod forward until the circular portion of the Trigger Rod clears the door. Then set the trap as instructed.
