AQUATOP's MR-30 Multimedia Reactor uses a reverse water flow design that prevents water from channeling through the filter media, thus maximizing the efficiency of filter media. Constructed of high quality acrylic with an easy to remove lid, the MR Series can be installed either in-sump or hang on the tank and comes complete with all plumbing parts.

Instruction

  • Assembly Instructions: 1. Choose a desired location for the AQUATOP Multimedia Reactor2. Place pump in desired location3. Connect the intake tube to the middle barbed fitting of the AQUATOP Multimedia Reactor. Secure the tube to the lock nut. Connect a small piece of tubing from the bottom of the intake tube to the water pump.4. Connect the output tube to the output barbed fitting of the AQUATOP Multimedia Reactor. Secure the tube to the lock nut. (NOTE: 6ft. tubing provided must be cut to fit for the output tubing and the intake tube.)5. Connect the sediment discharge filter to the end of the output tubing6. Secure the output tubing and sediment discharge filter with suction cups7. Unlatch and remove lid8. Remove the top media sponge and media strainer9. Add desired media to the reaction chamber phosphate resin, activated carbon, and other resin filtering medias. Follow manufacturer guidelines for media requirements for a given aquarium size, flow rates and precautions.10. Place media sponges and media strainers below and above desired media11. Verify that the 0-ring is clean and free of all media. A small amount of silicone lubricant can be used to ensure a good seal.12. Place the lid back and press directly down13. Secure the lid with latches14. Plug the water pump into a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet

If you do not have a GFCI, we strongly recommend having a qualified electrician install one prior to operating any aquarium component.4. Do not plug into extension cord/power strip5. Use this product for its intended purpose only6. Never yank or pull the cord from the electrical outlet7. Do not operate if the plug or wire is damaged8. Verify that hands are dry prior to disconnecting the power9. To reduce the risks of electrocution, keep all connections dry10. For indoor use only11. If any of the electrical components get wet, unplug immediately12. Do not use soaps or detergents when cleaning the exterior surface of this device13.
