- Feeding Instructions: AvoDerm Natural® dog food is slow-cooked to ensure your dog receives optimum nutrition from high quality ingredients. AvoDerm Natural® dog food is naturally formulated to be complete and balanced with added vitamins, minerals, and other important nutrients for proper maintenance.Adult Feeding Chart: 3-10 lbs: 1/3 to 1 cup/day; 10-20 lbs: 1 to 1 1/2 cups/day; 20-50 lbs: 1 1/2 to 3 cups/day; 50-75 lbs: 3 to 4 1/4 cups/day; 75-100 lbs: 4 1/4 to 5 1/4 cups/day; 100+lbs: 5 1/4 cups plus an additional 1/2 cup for each additional 15-lbs over 100 lbsPUPPIESStart allowing puppies access to AvoDerm Natural® dog food about 3 weeks before weaning, the food can be moistened to help consumption. After weaning feed the puppy 3 to 4 times per day for the first 2 months, and then from 2 to 3 times per day until reaching adult size, and then 1 to 2 times per day. Expect to feed 1 ½ to 2 times the adult feeding recommendation during puppy’s growing phase. Adjust the daily amount fed so the puppy maintains a good body condition.PREGNANT FEMALESDuring pregnancy, increase the feeding amount during the last 1/3 of pregnancy to 1 ½ times the amount recommended as shown for the adult. Avoid excessive overfeeding. Maintain a good body condition while preparing for whelp and nursing. LACTATING FEMALESA nursing female can expect to need 2 to 3 times as much food as recommended in the adult feeding guideline. Adjust the extra food given by the number of puppies and length of nursing. Try to maintain a good body condition, however with large number of puppies, expect to have some loss in body fat for milk production.
