Instruction

  • Assembly Required?: Yes
  • Assembly Instructions: Rinse all fountain components (except for the adaptor) with warm water before using the pet fountain. This will remove any residue from the manufacturing process. 1. Take the pump apart by first removing the blue faceplate. Use your finger to pull up on the small tab.2. Remove the teardrop shaped stator by pulling up on the small lip.3. Use a fingernail to pull out the impeller, which is held in place magnetically. Clean the pump parts with warm water and soap. Reassemble the pump by first inserting the impeller. Then, replace the stator and faceplate.4. Place the pump into the foam filter with the cord running above it. 5. Place the pump and foam filter into the bottom of 5 the bowl inside the square indentation as shown. Press down to engage the suction cups. Note: Wetting the suction cups will ease assembly.6. Once the pump and foam filter are securely in 6 place, feed the cord through the raised post and out the notch on the base of the bowl.7. Remove the extra slack from the cord and push the rubber seal firmly into the raised post.8. Rinse the carbon filter thoroughly under cold 8 water to remove any loose carbon dust. Open the filter housing and rinse both parts under water. Insert the filter into the filter housing base with the larger side facing down. Attach the filter housing top and press down until it snaps in place.9. Insert the filter housing into the hole on top of the pump.10. Pour water into the bowl until it reaches the 10 MAX (maximum) fill line. 11. Attach the upper tray to the bowl by aligning it over the filter housing. Press down on both sides to secure the locking tabs. Note: The water outlet on the tray will face the back of the bowl. The PetSafe logo indicates the front of the bowl.12. Insert the butterfly topper into the hole on the top of the tower. This will provide your pet with four water streams to drink from. The butterfly’s head should face the back of the bowl. Note: The butterfly topper is optional. The fountain will provide a gentle bubbling flow without it. 13. Pick up the pet fountain by the bowl and place it 13 in the desired location. Make sure the electrical power cord, the adaptor, and your hands are completely dry. Connect the inline plug and make sure no silver is showing, then plug the adaptor into a standard electrical wall outlet.
  • Care and Cleaning Instructions: Replace the carbon filter every 2-4 weeks and replace the foam filter every 1-2 months.1. Unplug the fountain and disconnect the in-line plug.2. Pick up the pet fountain by the bowl and take it to the sink.3. Pour out the water, and then disassemble the pet fountain.4. Discard the carbon filter and the foam filter. Use a solution of 80% water and 20% white vinegar to remove hard water buildup.5. Wash all other parts with warm water and soap or place in the top rack of the dishwasher.NOTE: Do not place the adaptor or pump in the dishwasher.
