Kordon pH Stabilizer 7.0 is ideal for freshwater fish such as goldfish and community tanks. 7.0 is the pH level in which most freshwater fish and invertebrates thrive and reproduce. The pH of aquarium water goes up and down due to biological and/or chemical activity within the water. The pH of a new water system tends to be at a higher pH (above 7.0 - alkaline) and frequently drops (below 7.0 - acidic) as the system ages.
