  • Feeding Instructions: As treatment doses are based on the weight of the animal, use a scale or weight tape to determine each animal's weight before treating. Once an accurate weight is known, treat each horse or pony with STRONGID Paste as follows:1. Adjust the ring to your animal’s weight and lock into place2. Make sure there is no feed in the animal’s mouth3. Remove the cap from the end of the syringe. Save the cap for reuse4. Place the tip of the syringe inside the animal’s mouth at the space between the teeth5. Gently push the plunger until it stops, depositing the gel on the back of the tongue6. Remove the syringe from the animal’s mouth and raise the animal’s head slightly to make sure he swallows the gel7. Replace the syringe capAdminister as a single, oral dose of 3 mg pyrantel base per lb of body weight. The syringe has 4 weight mark increments. Each weight mark indicates the recommended dose for 300 lb of body weight.Body Weight Range: Up to 300 lb - Range Quantity: 1/4 syringe; mg Pyrantel Base: 900 mgBody Weight Range: 301 to 600 lb - Range Quantity: 1/2 syringe; mg Pyrantel Base: 1800 mgBody Weight Range: 601 to 900 lb - Range Quantity: 3/4 syringe; mg Pyrantel Base: 2700 mgBody Weight Range: 901 to 1200 lb - Range Quantity: 1 full syringe; mg Pyrantel Base: 3600 mgNote. For maximum control of parasitism, it is recommended that foals (2-8 months of age) be dosed every 4 weeks. To minimize the potential source of infection that the mare may pose to the foal, the mare should be treated 1 month prior to anticipated foaling date followed by retreatment 10 days to 2 weeks after birth of foal. Horses and ponies over 8 months of age should be routinely dosed every 6 weeks. It is recommended that severely debilitated animals not be treated with this preparation.
