  • Feeding Instructions: Your dog’s nutritional requirements will vary according to age, breed, environment and activity levels. Feed adult dogs once per day or divide equal portions and feed twice per day. When switching to Pinnacle® dog food, gradually increase the amount of Pinnacle® dog food while decreasing the previous food over a five day period. Adult Feeding Chart:2 - 10 LBS: 1/4 - 3/4 Cup/Day; 10 - 20 LBS: 3/4 - 1 1/4 Cups/Day; 20 - 30 LBS: 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 Cups/Day; 30 - 40 LBS: 1 3/4 - 2 1/4 Cups/Day; 40 - 50 LBS: 2 1/4 - 2 3/4 Cups/Day; 50 - 60 LBS: 2 3/4 - 3 Cups/Day; 60 - 80 LBS: 3 - 4 Cups/Day; 80 - 100 LBS: 4 - 4 1/2 Cups/Day; Dogs 100 LBS+ should be fed 4 1/2 Cups/Day plus an additional 1/3 cup for every 10 lbs over 100 lbs. Puppies - Start allowing puppies access to Pinnacle® dog food about 3 weeks before weaning. The food can be moistened to help consumption. After weaning, feed the puppy 3 to 4 times per day for the first 2 months, and then from 2 to 3 times per day until reaching adult size, and then 1 to 2 times per day. Expect to feed 11/2 to 2 times the adult feeding recommendation during the puppy’s growing phase, adjust the daily amount fed so the puppy maintains a good body condition. Pregnant Females - During pregnancy, increase the feeding amount during the last 1/3 of pregnancy to 11/2 times the amount recommended as shown for the adult. Avoid excessive overfeeding, maintaining a good body condition, while preparing for whelp and nursing. Lactating Females - A nursing female can expect to need 2 to 3 times as much food as recommended in the adult feeding guideline. Adjust the extra food given by the number of puppies and length of nursing. Try to maintain a good body condition, however with large numbers of puppies, expect to have some loss in body fat for milk production.
