Instruction

  • Use Instructions: The solution in this bottle is In concentrated form and must first to reconstituted to normal full strength for proper dosing. To dilute to full strength, simply add purified water (reverse osmosis, deionized, or distilled) to each bottle to a level one inch below the cap. Cap tightly and mix the bottles by tipping or rotating end over end. Add equal amounts of the reconstituted parts A & B to the aquarium, separately. Rinse the measuring utensil between administering part A and part B. Do not mix the two parts together or with other supplements in dosing reservoirs. Required dosage is based on alkalinity, which should be maintained between 2.5 and 3.5 meq/L (7-10 dKH). The calcium level should be maintained between 350 and 450 ppm. Monitor with a reliable test kit. If before using this product the calcium level is low while the alkalinity is high or vice versa, correct first by performing a water change(s). Thereafter use C-Balance to maintain the proper ionic ratios. C-Balance replenishes salts lost via protein skimming, and thus helps maintain stable specific gravity. It the dosage exceeds salt loss, however, the specific gravity of the water will increase. In that case periodically remove a small amount of aquarium water and replace with pure freshwater. C-Balance can be used as an alternative to kalkwasser or as a supplement to it. We recommend using both because of kalkwassers ability to precipitate phosphate.Dosage: Begin with 5 ml (one teaspoon) of each part per 75 L (20 gal) per day. Pour into a strong current stream for rapid dispersal to prevent concentrating the solutions on marinelife. Part 8 may cause temporary cloudiness. Maximum dose: 1 mL each part per 7.6 L (2 gal). Maximum daily dosage: 1 mL each part per 3.8 L (1 gal), divided into at least two doses to avoid raising the pH too high. The maximum daily dosage increases total alkalinity by about 0.5 meq/L Precipitations of part B: When exposed to temperatures below room temperature some precipitation of part B may occur. The crystals re-dissolve above 75 °F (24 °C). Store above 60 °F (15 °C).
