Instruction

  • Use Instructions: 1. Remove terrarium animals prior to installing the mushroom ledge. Animals must not be placed in the terrarium until the silicon has fully cured.2. Remove the Mushroom Ledge from the package and rinse well under warm water.3. Choose a suitable location for the Mushroom Ledge and clean the mounting surface with a non-toxic cleaner (like Zoo Med's Wipe Out 1 Terrarium Cleaner).4. To open the silicon, unscrew the cap and use the pointed end of the cap to pierce the tube. Squeeze the tube and apply the silicon to the flat surface of the Mushroom Ledge as shown.5. The mushroom ledge can be mounted using either of the following methods: -With the terrarium lying on its side (preferred method - no tape required): if you are setting up a new empty terrarium, lay the terrarium on the side that the Mushroom Ledge will be attached to. Gravity will hold the ledge in place while the silicon cures.-With the terrarium upright using tape: If your terrarium is already set-up with substrate and plants, you will need to use tape to secure the Mushroom Ledge while the silicon cures. Be sure that the tape is strong enough to hold the ledge in place for 24 hours.6. Important: Allow the silicon to dry for a minimum of 24 hours. When the silicon is fully cured, there will be no odor remaining. Cooler temperatures require longer curing times. Do not place animals in your terrarium until after the silicon has fully cured.
